Yes – we specialise in both kitchen renovations and new builds across Nelson, Tasman, Richmond, Motueka, and surrounding areas. Whether you are updating an existing kitchen or starting from scratch, we have the experience and expertise to design and deliver a space that brings your vision to life.

Our custom joinery is tailored to suit your home, lifestyle, and budget, ensuring a high-quality finish that enhances both functionality and style.

No, your design consultation and plans/3d renders are part of our design package and included in your quote.  If you wanted to take the plans away without a commitment, there would be a charge for this, as typically our designer would have spent 12 – 24 hours preparing your design and budgetary pricing.

The cost of your new kitchen can vary a lot depending on size, materials, and the level of detail. As a rough guide, most of our kitchens typically range from $10,000 through to $50,000+ (joinery only).  Usually plumbing, electrical are separate to this price.

Smaller or simpler kitchens will be at the lower end, while larger kitchens with premium finishes, detailed cabinetry, and added features will sit higher.

We can work within a wide range of budgets, from smaller practical kitchens through to high-end bespoke designs, and will always help you get the best outcome for your investment.

You will receive budgetary pricing early in the process, so you have a clear understanding of where your project is heading before committing to final design decisions.

The cost of a new kitchen in Nelson and Tasman is influenced by several key factors, including size, layout, materials, and level of design detail.

Things like internal storage systems, hardware quality, and finishes also play a big part.

Trades such as plumbing and electrical work are separate to joinery costs, but we can guide you through the full scope of your project so there are no surprises.

That is completely normal — not everyone can visualise a space the way our designers do.

To help bring your ideas to life, your designer will create detailed 3D images of your new kitchen in full colour. These are so realistic they almost look like photographs, making it easy to see how everything will come together and make any changes before we move into production.

Timeframes can vary depending on the design, materials, and current workload. Once final design is approved, most custom kitchens are typically completed and installed within approximately 8–16 weeks.

In some cases, we can turn projects around more quickly depending on scheduling and requirements, while more complex kitchens or higher demand periods may extend lead times.

Installation time also varies based on the size and complexity of the project, generally ranging from a couple of days through to around two weeks or even more.

We will always provide a clear, realistic timeframe upfront so you can plan your project with confidence.

Building or renovating a kitchen can feel overwhelming, so we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step process to make it as simple and stress-free as possible.

It all starts with an initial consultation where we discuss your ideas, budget, and requirements. From there, your dedicated designer will work with you to create a custom kitchen design tailored to your space, lifestyle, and style preferences.

Once the design is finalised and approved, we move into manufacturing, where your kitchen is carefully built in our Nelson workshop. Throughout this stage, we keep you updated so you always know what’s happening.

Finally, our installation team will install your kitchen on site, working closely with any other trades to ensure everything runs smoothly and to plan.

For an in-depth step-by-step walk through of the design and manufacture process, check out our “The Design Process” page on our website here.

Absolutely – design is a key part of what we do.

We don’t just manufacture kitchens; we have a team of qualified and experienced designers who will work closely with you from the very beginning. You will be assigned your own designer who will take the time to understand your space, lifestyle, and ideas, and then create a custom kitchen design tailored specifically to you.

We will guide you through layout options, materials, colours, and storage solutions, making the process simple and enjoyable even if you are not sure where to start.

The goal is to design a kitchen that not only looks great, but also works perfectly for the way you live.

In many cases, you do not need a builder if you are simply replacing an existing kitchen with a new one in the same layout.

However, if your project involves a new build or a larger renovation where walls are being removed, structural changes are required, or the layout is being significantly altered, then a builder may be needed.

If a builder is required, we can either work alongside your chosen builder or help connect you with trusted local building companies we regularly partner with in the Nelson region. This ensures your project runs smoothly from start to finish with the right people involved at every stage.

Our goal is to make the process as simple as possible, so we will always guide you on what is needed for your specific project.

Yes – absolutely. We understand every project has a different budget, and there are always ways to achieve a great result without overspending.

We can help tailor your kitchen design to suit your budget, whether that means adjusting materials, refining the layout, or focusing investment on the areas that matter most to you. Our team will be upfront and honest about what can be achieved at different price points and will guide you through the best options for value and durability.

Our goal is to help you get the best possible kitchen for your budget, without compromising on quality or function.

Yes – once your kitchen design has been finalised and all materials, finishes, and specifications have been confirmed, we provide a fixed-price quote so you know exactly what your project will cost.

At the early stage, we typically provide budgetary pricing to give you a clear idea of costs and help guide your design decisions before committing to anything. As your design develops and selections are finalised, this is then refined into a fixed quotation.

Your final quote is valid for one month, giving you plenty of time to review and make confident decisions before proceeding.

Yes – we do.  We have a dedicated showroom in Tahunanui, Nelson where you can view a range of kitchen displays, explore different materials and finishes, and see examples of our workmanship up close.

To ensure you get the best experience and dedicated time with one of our team, we recommend booking an appointment before visiting. This allows us to understand what you are looking for and prepare for your visit so we can guide you through the most relevant options for your project.

Whether you are ready to start designing or just gathering inspiration, we’re happy to help you explore ideas for your new kitchen.

If you have any inspiration, ideas, or reference images for your new kitchen, we encourage you to bring them along to your first consultation. This helps your designer understand your style and preferences from the outset.

If you have plans of your home, rough measurements, or details about your space, that can also be helpful, but it is not essential. Don’t worry if you’re not sure where to start – that is exactly what we are here for.

Your designer will guide you through all the options, help you explore layouts, materials, and finishes, and work with you to create a kitchen that suits your home, lifestyle, and budget.

In most cases, you do not need a permit if you are replacing an existing kitchen in the same layout, including cabinets, benchtops, and appliances.

However, you may require council consent if your renovation involves moving plumbing, removing or altering structural walls, or making significant layout changes that affect the structure of your home.

If you’re unsure, our team can guide you through what is required for your specific project and help ensure everything is completed correctly and in line with local regulations.

Flat-pack kitchens can be a suitable option for simple or budget projects, but they are often limited in sizing, finish options, and long-term durability.

Custom joinery is designed and built specifically for your space, allowing for better use of storage, a more refined finish, and a result that fits your home perfectly. It also gives you greater flexibility in materials, layout, and design details.

At Cooper Webley, all our joinery is supplied fully assembled (not flat-pack), so every unit is checked to meet our quality standards before it leaves our Nelson workshop.

If you are looking for a kitchen that fits properly, functions well, and is built to last, custom joinery is the better long-term investment.

No – we can work either way.

If you already have your own builder, plumber, or electrician, we are happy to coordinate with them to ensure everything runs smoothly.

If you don’t have trades organised, we can help arrange and coordinate trusted local professionals we regularly work with across Nelson and Tasman. This helps keep your project running efficiently and ensures everything is completed to a high standard.

Yes — we can remove and dispose of your existing kitchen as part of your renovation if required.

We can uninstall your old kitchen and dispose of it for you as part of the installation process, making your renovation as stress-free as possible.

If your existing kitchen is in reasonable condition, you may also choose to list it on social media platforms such as Facebook Marketplace or Trade Me, or donate it to a local charity. This helps reduce waste and gives your kitchen a second life instead of going to landfill.

Yes — every project is carefully checked before it leaves our factory.

Your designer works alongside our Production Manager to carry out a full quality and design check, ensuring everything is manufactured exactly as specified and meets our high standards before installation.

Installation day is when everything comes together. Our team will have already coordinated with you or your builder to confirm delivery details, site access, and how the installation will run, ensuring everything is well organised for a smooth, stress-free process.

Your cabinetry will be carefully installed and aligned, and we will work alongside any other trades to keep the project moving efficiently. We will also outline the expected timeframe, as elements like benchtops and splashbacks may be installed later once final measurements (templating) are completed.

We can carry out installation while you remain living in your home, however we simply ask that our installers are given enough space to work comfortably and safely. Our team are experienced professionals who take care of everything from start to finish, so you can feel confident the job is in good hands. Giving them a clear workspace helps the installation run smoothly and ensures your new kitchen comes together efficiently and to a high standard.

There will be some noise from tools during the process, and for safety, we ask that pets and children are kept clear of the work area.

Yes – absolutely.  Our installers take great care to leave your kitchen and workspace clean and tidy at the end of each day.

We respect your home and make sure all work areas are cleared of debris, so the space is left in a presentable condition throughout the installation process.

Our goal is to complete your project with minimal disruption and leave you with a finished kitchen you can enjoy straight away.

Yes – we stand behind the quality of our workmanship and the products we use.

We offer a 5-year residential warranty on our workmanship, along with warranties on most materials and hardware used in your kitchen. Some specific products may carry different manufacturer warranty periods, which we will clearly outline for you.

Items such as water damage or general wear and tear are not covered; however, full details are provided in our warranty and care pack, and your designer can go through this with you before you proceed.

You will also receive a warranty and care guide at installation, which will help you keep your kitchen looking its best for years to come.

If anything needs adjusting after installation, simply get in touch with us by phone or email and we’ll take care of it for you.

We’re here to support you well beyond installation and want to ensure your kitchen continues to function and look its best over time.

All of our work is backed by a 5-year residential warranty, and we take pride in providing prompt, reliable after-sales service whenever it’s needed.
